Where to Buy the Best Indoor HDTV Antenna? 4 Top Retail Options

You want to make a smart purchase. And, no one wants to buy a subpar TV antenna that is shoddy and doesn’t work well. No, this won’t do. You need to know where to buy the best indoor TV antenna.

We’re going to discuss where to buy a TV antenna, and we’ll discuss the most popular options to save you money.

4 Places to Buy a Digital TV Antenna

1. Amazon TV Antenna Sales

Amazon is one of the best retailers in the world, and it’s no surprise that the company is on our list. After all, fast shipping directly to your door allows for one of the best ways to shop online. But a lot of retailers are offering the same option.

The issue is they don’t offer as many products.

And if you shop on Amazon, you know that the company offers:

  • Variety
  • Free shipping options
  • Great service
  • Affordable prices

This is the go-to place if you want to buy an antenna from a company  that doesn’t sell products directly to consumers.

We recommend using Amazon to purchase:

It’s a great option for consumers. When trying to compare prices, Amazon is often the retailer with the lowest prices, too. This is my go-to option when the manufacturer doesn’t sell directly at a lower cost.

You’ll also be able to read through digital TV antenna reviews to find out what others are saying about an antenna.

For me, it’s a no-brainer to use Amazon when buying online.

But that doesn’t mean there aren’t other options. Several retailers sell awesome products, and when they run deals, they may even beat Amazon prices on occasion.

2. Manufacturer Direct

If you find a manufacturer that’s selling their product directly to consumers, you’ll often find that the smaller companies have better prices, and some offer discounts for multiple product buys.

This is the best route if you want a good deal.

Since the manufacturer is cutting out the third-party (the retailer),  they’re often willing to part with their products at a much cheaper price. The good thing is that you have a direct line to the company if you need customer support.

It’s a win-win scenario for all parties involved.

Our top pick for a TV antenna: TV Fox, offers this same great direct-ordering option. You’ll be able to buy directly from the company.

We’ve also secured you a special TV Fox antenna discount, so you’ll receive even more money off on your purchase.

Direct manufacturer buys are good if:

  • You want to save money
  • You want to support smaller companies
  • You want to deal with great customer service

Again, if you can’t find a product you want on Amazon, there’s a good chance the manufacturer is selling the product directly which is something you’ll want to take advantage of when making your purchase.

3. Best Buy TV Antenna Sales

Best Buy isn’t as popular as it once was, but the retailer is still a great option for all things electronic. When shopping at Best Buy, you have a lot of neat options that you wouldn’t have using a strict online seller:

  • Go to the store and browse your options
  • Order online and pickup in store
  • Order online and have it shipped to your door

If you need an antenna right this very second, it makes a lot of sense to have the antenna ordered online and picked up in the store. You can also go in the store and peruse the inventory to find an antenna you like.

But I’ve found Best Buy to have higher prices than Amazon when buying online.

There is also the awful upselling in stores where the company will keep trying to get you to buy something else. You know: warranties, a new television or some deal on cable TV services. For me, it’s better to ditch all of that and either have the product picked up in the store (you can pay online), or you can just have it shipped to you.

When considering prices, the company has:

  • Similar prices for the Mohu Leaf 50
  • Higher prices for older models

Since newer products have a better price control, this makes a lot of sense. Again, do your own research and see who has the best prices before using Best Buy. I often find better deals on Amazon, but when Best Buy runs sales, they often have great options and prices, too.

4. Target TV Antenna Sales

Target is a great ground store, but they also sell a lot of products online. I haven’t seen many TV antennas in the company’s stores, and this may be a location thing. But online, they do have some antennas available.

The issue is selection.

You’ll find a ton of options on Amazon, yet online 12 items are showing up on Target’s online store.

What a bummer.

Price wise, the prices are fairly decent for TV antennas at Target. A lot of the antennas are older models, and they don’t offer the Mohu or TV Fox – or many of our top choices.

I get it: Target isn’t the go-to place for electronics, but I thought they would have a much bigger selection of products than they do now.

A great store: yes. A great store for TV antennas: no.

So, if you want variety, I would highly recommend Amazon. The company has a massive selection of nearly everything you could think of owning, and when you search for TV antennas on the site, they offer over 3,000 options.

Target and Best Buy simply can’t compete with the number of products that Amazon offers.

But if you want the best price, a manufacturer selling directly to consumers often keeps their overhead lower by selling direct leading to massive savings for you, the consumer.

TV Fox, our top pick, is only available at the manufacturer. This is one of the main reasons why we chose this product – the prices were amazing. But, there is also the superior features and customer service experience which are all too good to ignore.

When it comes to TV antenna buying, I hope that you’ll take our research and guidance into account.
