Is WiFi Blast Able to Offer WiFi Coverage to Your Entire Home?

Have you noticed that your WiFi connection gets weaker depending on which room you’re in? I have, and I am on the same floor as my router. The problem is that the signal starts to degrade the more walls that are between the router and your device.
I have been calling my upstairs the dead zone forever because I can’t seem to get a strong signal up there.

And the problem is really annoying when you’re streaming music or Netflix. WiFi Blaster promises to solve this problem.

Now, this wasn’t my first course of action either.

I have spent a lot of time on the phone with my Internet provider, who seems to think that disconnecting the router and resetting everything will work.

    It doesn’t work.

That’s why I decided to give the WiFi Blast range extender a try.

Are All of the WiFi Blast Reviews True?

I have a lot of readers asking about the WiFi Blaster and if it actually does anything.

    Does it?

You see, the WiFi Blast extender reviews that I keep reading make claims of grandeur. People claim they can receive reception far away from their home and that they’ve never had an issue since installing it.

It sounds too good to be true.

    WiFi Blast Extender Setup

What the company claims is rather basic:

    • Extend WiFi in larger areas to avoid dead spots seen in larger homes
    • Plug-and-play setup (this is true)
    • Speeds up to 300Mbps
    • Compact design

And all of this is for 50% off if you order pretty much any time because I keep seeing the same sale time after time.

It sounds like a good product.

When I first unpackaged my WiFi Blast repeater, I did note that the design was compact and it looked easy enough to install. There aren’t WiFi Blast Amazon reviews or anything to go off of, so I had to use my own judgment when installing this product.

    The instructions were straightforward.

Plug it into the electrical outlet, plug in your cord and that’s it. Simple enough.
What the company claims is that their technology is able to boost your wireless Internet connection so that you receive reception at all corners of your home. You won’t be sacrificing:

    • Connectivity
    • Speeds

All of your speeds are supposed to be the same.

But there is a limit to the speed that’s able to be maintained. A stronger signal is offered to all corners of the home, but you’ll be capped on a 2.4 GHz band. The 2.4 GHz band is able to deliver speeds up to 300 Mbps.

For me, that’s not a problem at all.

I have just over 100 Mbps, but anyone that is on a faster network will not retain all of their speed.

I wasn’t able to watch Netflix

But I didn’t find that my signal was much better. When I went into my backyard, I was getting a very spotty connection. I wasn’t even far from the unit – it was maybe 25 feet. I was literally at the back door near my porch.

I wasn’t able to watch Netflix on my phone while sitting at the patio table.

I also tried using my laptop, and the same issue happened. I was able to visit most text-heavy websites with ease, but it was websites that had more media that really seemed to slow up my connection.

Even watching YouTube videos was rather choppy.

Ultimately, I decided to use my digital media player to watch my shows.

It didn’t help when I left my house, but would it help indoors? Somewhat, but there was still a lot to be desired.

You see, when I went upstairs, the signal was a bit stronger, but it weakened every few feet. I would be in my spare room, and the reception was actually stronger. I was able to watch most movies without any buffering issues, which was a first.

Going directly across the hallway to my storage room, I lost connection.

Since the extender is situated in the middle of the home, it’s roughly the same distance apart. I figured that the connection would have been a lot stronger than that.

    WiFi Blast Customer Service

I do want to mention that the customer service agent for WiFi Blast did try his best to help me through my issues. We kept discussing my issues at length, and the representative was very understanding and always polite, which was very nice.

But in the end, and I think that he agreed with me, it was time to ask for my money back.

That’s what I love about being a consumer today: money back guarantees. Manufacturers are standing behind their products, primarily due to increased competition, so they see no harm in offering a refund if you’re unhappy with their product.

I was one of the people who was unhappy.

Don’t get me wrong. A lot of people love their WiFi Blast, but not me. Maybe in the ideal world it works flawlessly, but I don’t live in that world. I had higher expectations after using similar products in the past, so when I started having issues, I have to admit that I was a little shocked.

A lot of people hyped up this WiFi extender.

    • Very easy to install
    • Blends with most décor
    • Fast shipping and easy returns

    • Spotty connection

    My Recommendation

WiFi Blast had a lot of potential, but for me, it wasn’t able to meet its claims. I’m not saying that this is a bad product, but I rate it an 79% out of 100% – definitely not one of my best ratings.

I just wasn’t able to remove all of the dead spots in my home, and on some occasions, I wasn’t sure that the reception was any better before installing my WiFi Blast extender.

The good news is that I was able to take advantage of the 90-day money back guarantee.

It was a hassle-free return, so I have to give the company’s customer service a lot of credit there.

Otherwise, I feel like the Super Boost WiFi is the better product.

See why I rate the Super Boost WiFi a 96% out of 100% in my in-depth review.
